Practice Philosophy
Growing up in Dothan, Dr. Hart watched both his father and grandfather care for their patients with friendliness, compassion, and integrity – his father as a doctor and his grandfather as a dentist. These traits remain a cornerstone of his practice today. Dr. Hart is dedicated to ensuring your care is always provided in a comfortable and relaxing atmosphere while he provides world-class care with world-class technologies. Restoring your confidence, improving your oral and overall health – and quality of life – is Dr. Hart’s aim for your smile.
Education
After being awarded his Bachelor of Science in Biology from Auburn University in 1997, Dr. Hart pursued his dental doctorate at University of Alabama, earning it in 2001. Continuing education is a vital part of how Dr. Hart stays on top of delivering your family the latest advances in dental care. His additional education includes the placement and restoration of dental implants, sedation, root canal therapy, and cosmetic restorations. He is also Invisalign® certified and uses iTero® digital scanning instead of goopy impressions.
Home Life
A dedicated husband and father, Dr. Hart and his wife Allison have three beautiful daughters. Spending time together as a family is a priority and they enjoy going to the beach, watching movies, and traveling to Disney World. They are all active members of the Wiregrass Church in Dothan.
Registered Dental Hygienist
Jennifer
Jenn has worked with Dr. Hart since 2001 when he was fresh out of dental school! Starting as a dental assistant, Jenn earned her Registered Dental Hygienist credentials and license in 2004. Jenn loves helping people – and her patients love her! Some travel all the way from Panama City Beach for their regular care.
Born in Alabama, Jenn is a Crimson Tide fan and loves sports. She played softball in high school as a pitcher for the Northview Cougars. Jenn and her husband Merrel have been married for 16 years and have two daughters, Sarabeth, and Mia. While Jenn doesn’t play ball anymore, she can often be found in the bleachers, cheering for Sarabeth who is following in mom’s footsteps. Jenn and her family are very active in the Camp Ground Baptist Church in Ozark, where they serve as Associate Pastor, Sunday School teachers, and worship and youth leaders.

Christie Shipes
Christie grew up in Dothan, AL and graduated from Northview High School. She has worked in all aspects of dentistry over her 21 years of experience including oral surgery, orthodontics, pediatric dentistry, and general dentistry. Christie completed the Alabama Dental Hygiene Program in 2010 where she earned her Dental Hygiene Certificate. Christie has been married to her husband, Johnny, for 15 years and they have 2 boys, Will and Tyler. It is a boy’s world at her home with much of their time being spent at sporting events, hunting or fishing. They love to vacation. A few of their favorite places are the beach, mountains and Disney World!

Nichole Santora
Nichole came to us from Georgia. She moved to Dothan in 2018. She finished her dental assisting program through Accelerated Dental Assisting Academy in March of 2021. She has been with us here at Hartford Family Dentistry since February 2021. Nichole always knew she wanted to be in the dental field. She loves her job and is excited to continue to learn more from Dr. Hart!
Now, Nichole resides in Fadette, Al with her husband Kendrick. They have 5 children together, Aylana, Aliesa, Bailey, Maison and Dominic. They keep them very busy. Nichole loves music, the outdoors, the beach and spending all her free time with her family. Nichole is OBSESSED with everything cow! She can’t wait until she owns a cow of her own! Nichole believes that if you find a job or career that you love you will never work a day in your life!

Alicia Kidd
Alicia graduated from Wallace State College in Hanceville, Al in 2000 where she earned an Associates of Applied Science degree in Dental Hygiene. Her years of experience has allowed Alicia to work in all aspects of dentistry from full time dental hygiene to administrative tasks, treatment planning and insurance. Alicia and her husband, Tony, have one son, Henry who keeps life exciting and full of adventure.
